“You’re supposed to be the best player in the league… we pay you all this money for what?’”

The Miami Dolphins are four months removed from their playoff loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs.

But, that doesn’t mean the team has moved on.

Star receiver Tyreek Hill hauled in Miami’s only touchdown that day, posting 5 catches for 62 yards. On paper, a decent performance. But the eyes tell a different story. Many fans lambasted Tyreek for his performances that day, and it looks like they weren’t alone.

Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, normally the calmest guy in the room, reportedly told Hill after the game “Reek, you’re supposed to be the best player in the league, and you’ve got this guy putting hands all over you”.

Ouch. McDaniel is not one to mince words, is he?

Straight from the horse’s mouth, Tyreek’s performance simply wasn’t good enough that day. Hill is currently getting paid $30 million a year, and 5 catches off 8 targets in a playoff game simply isn’t good enough. In fact, none of Miami’s players were up for that game. Miami’s offense had a historically great regular season, and only managed 7 points in the biggest game of the season.

It was cold, sure. But guess what? It’s cold for both teams!

Anyways, that loss is way behind me. I definitely won’t think about it everyday for the next 5 months, definitely not.
