Brian Callahan is preparing for his first season as head coach of the Tennessee Titans. The first-time head coach knows what type of mindset he wants his team to have, and he’s wasting no time instilling said mindset.

The coach recently had the chance to meet with his players after the start of the offseason program last week and share that mindset with them. Callahan stressed the importance of being “relentless and resilient,” and striving to get better each day.

“What are we all trying to do here? We’re trying to get better, trying to improve, trying to be a better version of ourselves tomorrow than we were the day before,” Callahan explained. “Relentless and resilient. If you are those two things in the NFL… Do you think you’re going to win a lot of football games? I do.”

The Titans will certainly need to be better than they were last year. The team finished with a disappointing 6-11 record and failed to reach the playoffs for the second season in a row. That poor season led to Mike Vrabel’s firing and Callahan getting his first shot as a head coach.

The Titans have made several splashy moves this offseason, headlined by wide receiver Calvin Ridley and cornerback L’Jarius Sneed. Callahan and general manager Ran Carthon will now turn their attention to the 2024 NFL draft, which is just under two weeks away.
