The Tennessee Titans have made their second trade of the 2024 offseason, this time striking a deal with the Cleveland Browns.

The team announced on Friday afternoon it has acquired offensive tackle Leroy Watson, pending a physical. The Titans will send a seventh-round pick back to Cleveland in exchange (No. 227 overall).

A former undrafted free-agent signing of the Atlanta Falcons in 2022, Watson is a former tight end who was converted to a tackle upon entering the NFL. He also spent time with the New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers.

Watson saw his first NFL action in 2023, appearing in seven games with the Browns, where he played under current Titans offensive line coach, Bill Callahan, who likely had a hand in the team making this deal.

The UTSA product played 32 snaps at left tackle and 12 at right tackle in 2023 and didn’t give up a sack or pressure in his limited playing time.

It remains to be seen how highly Callahan and Co. view Watson, but he’ll at least be in the mix for a depth role in 2024.
