The Tennessee Titans will no doubt add (and quite possibly subtract) players ahead of the start of the 2023 season in September, but as of right now they sport one of the youngest rosters in the NFL.

Per Spotrac, the Titans have a total of 62 players under contract, and those 62 average out to the second-youngest age in the NFL at 26.18 years.

Of course, the Titans still must add 28 more players to get to the offseason roster total of 90. Only the Los Angeles Rams (25.82 years) are younger, but they also only have 44 players signed.

With the Titans set to add six rookies via the 2023 NFL draft, that average is set to go down. Also, if rumors and speculation about the Titans parting with Kevin Byard, Derrick Henry and/or Ryan Tannehill come to fruition, it’ll see an even bigger dip.

That average age is important to note, as it makes it quite clear the Titans aren’t some over-the-hill team that needs to completely tear it down and rebuild from scratch.

Instead, the Titans have enough youth and talent (at least on defense) to stay competitive in 2023 while also looking ahead to a future in which the team will be flush with cap space and can really go for it in 2024.
