Trading for veteran kicker Nick Folk has undoubtedly been one of the best — if not the best — moves the Tennessee Titans made all offseason.

The Arizona product has made all 16 of his field goal attempts, including three from 50-plus yards out, as well as all eight of his extra points attempts. In total, Folk has already recorded a whopping 56 points after six games.

The veteran kicker’s consistency goes well beyond his brief Titans tenure. In fact, Folk is sneakily on the verge of NFL history.

Following his three-for-three performance in London, the Titans kicker has now made 70 consecutive field goals without a single miss from inside 40 yards.

This streak began back in 2017 — with his last miss occurring as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers  and has continued into 2023.

Prior to Sunday, Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker stood alone atop the NFL record books for most consecutive field goals made from under 40 yards, making a total of 70 straight kicks from 2016 through 2020.

Folk tied the record on Sunday with Tucker in the building, and he will now have the chance to break it in front of a home crowd that desperately needs something to cheer about when the team returns from its bye in Week 8.
