For the second time this offseason, the Tennessee Titans have included a seventh-round pick in a trade after the team struck a deal to acquire offensive tackle Leroy Watson from the Cleveland Browns.

The Titans are sending pick No. 227 to Cleveland, one of three selections they had in the seventh round. Tennessee also swapped seventh-round selections in the trade with the Kansas City Chiefs for cornerback L’Jarius Sneed, which also saw the Titans send a 2025 third-round pick.

The pick the Titans sent to the Chiefs was originally their highest in the round (No. 221). Now, Tennessee has once again traded away its highest pick in the seventh, but they still have two remaining in the round.

Quite frankly, it’s a good trade considering seventh-round picks are a total crapshoot, anyway, and are more than likely not to work out. At least Watson has some NFL action under his belt and clearly former Browns and current Titans offensive line coach Bill Callahan sees something in the UTSA product.

Here’s an updated look at the Titans’ stable of picks, which is now one selection shorter.
