We should anticipate the Seahawks pass rusher to be ready for training camp this summer.

The Seattle Seahawks defense took a major hit last October when outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu tore his pectoral muscle. Nwosu was lost for the season, and Seattle’s depth at the position was severely compromised after losing not just its best pass rusher, but one of its best run defenders.

As part of the start of the Seahawks’ offseason workout program, several players held press conferences at team facilities in Renton. Nwosu’s first media session post-injury (and post-surgery) should provide a lot of excitement for Seahawks fans.

Via Seahawks.com:

“It’s been a good process, been rehabbing down in L.A. with John Meyer,” Nwosu said. “He’s the medical guy for the Los Angeles Clippers, he’s getting me right and I just can’t wait to get back on the field. I’d say I have a few weeks and I’ll be ready to get back to ball.”

When asked if he will be ready for training camp, he said “Absolutely.”

Nwosu signed with the Seahawks as a free agent from the Los Angeles Chargers back in 2022. The former USC star notched a career-high 9.5 sacks and instantly became one of the most important players on Seattle’s defense. He is entering the first year of his three-year, $45 million contract extension signed in the previous offseason.
