Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens have locked up the top seed in the AFC after their Week 17 win over the Miami Dolphins. As a result, many of the Ravens’ regulars will either not play or not play the entire game. Head coach John Harbaugh has already ruled out Lamar Jackson as Tyler Huntley will start at quarterback.

Baltimore is one of the deepest teams in the NFL and should be able to play just fine without their full unit. Especially at the quarterback position, Tyler Huntley has shown the ability to step in and be a serviceable backup. In 314 passing attempts, he is completing 65.6% of his passes and has over 1,800 yards (8.8 per attempt). He has also added 469 yards on the ground and three touchdowns.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are playing for their season this weekend with a chance to reach the postseason. I do not think the Steelers are very good even with their offense getting a boost with Mason Rudolph taking over the starting job. They had a good week last week in Seattle but this will be a much bigger test.

I like the Ravens as home underdogs to keep this game close.

The play: Baltimore Ravens +4

Buffalo Bills @ Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills are set to square off in the NFL’s final regular season game of the 2023 season. This game is massive for both teams but means more for the Bills. Buffalo is sitting in 6th place in the AFC playoff race but still has a chance to win the division or miss the playoffs. While the Dolphins have clinched a playoff spot, the division is still up for grabs.

It seems like both teams are going in the opposite direction. The Bills are on a four-game winning streak and have stormed back into the playoff picture in the last month. Meanwhile, the Dolphins got smoked by the Ravens 56-19 and continue to be ravaged by injuries.

This is a playoff game for both teams and I think it will be tight and a low-scoring game. These two teams combined for 68 points in Week 4, but I think this week will be the opposite. In the last two weeks, the Dolphins are only averaging 20.5 points while the Bills are averaging 25.5 points.

I think this game will be a classic low-scoring-playoff-type game.

The play: Under 49
