D.J. Wonnum is about to score at Bank of America Stadium once again.

As first reported by Sheena Quick of FOX Sports Radio, the free-agent outside linebacker is expected to sign with the Carolina Panthers. The deal, per Quick, is a two-year, $12.5 million pact.

Wonnum was a fourth-round pick of the Minnesota Vikings back in the 2020 NFL draft. The University of South Carolina product racked up four seasons up north—where he totaled 171 combined tackles (24 for a loss), 23.0 sacks and a pair of forced fumbles.

The 6-foot-5, 258-pounder is coming off the best campaign of his NFL tenure. He matched personal highs in starts (14), sacks (8.0), tackles for a loss (seven) and quarterback hits (15), and scored his first career touchdown on a 51-yard return off a fumble recovery . . . which he did against the Panthers in Week 4.

Carolina, per multiple reports, was also expected to meet with fellow free-agent pass rushers in Chase Young and Jadeveon Clowney on Thursday.
