Darious Williams went from relative obscurity to high-impact defender this past season when he picked off a team-high four interceptions and broke up14 passes, also leading the team in that category.

Those numbers, at least on paper, paint the picture of a top-tier cornerback deserving of postseason accolades and awards. However, Williams was not selected to the Pro Bowl a year ago which was likely due to him being a rather unknown name to most casual fans outside of the NFC West. Since the Pro Bowl became a fan-vote and not picked by the league themselves, there’s been plenty of snubs over the past few years and Williams may have been one of the biggest.

In a new article from NFL.com, analyst Marc Sessler took to the task of selecting one player from each of the 32 clubs who could make their first Pro Bowl this year. In non-surprising fashion, Williams was the choice for the Rams.

Here’s what he had to say about the budding star:

“Jalen Ramsey deserves every drop of praise, but don’t forget about Williams, who graded out as PFF’s fourth-ranked cornerback in 2020. The undrafted Williams has emerged as a sticky defender with a knack for making game-altering plays. L.A.’s secondary will be challenged after losing both John Johnson III and Troy Hill, but Williams is ready to step into the spotlight as the most underrated cornerback in the NFC.”

I’d ask if you all agree with Sessler’s pick, but I think I can already guess your answers to that questions. However, if there is another player on the team you feel is deserving of a Pro Bowl nod in 2021, let us know who in the comments below!
