Music without pants but with beer!
Let’s get straight to it tonight, shall we? It’s a pretty eclectic little bunch I picked out for tonight.
Sir Woman
Kelsey Wilson (Wild Child, Glorietta) got together with drummer Amber Baker, Nik Lee and Dan Creaker of the Texas Gentlemen, and Robert Ellis to create a fantastic five song LP, Bitch. It’s just a fun set of songs.
A couple of weeks ago, I posted Little Simz “Introvert” with it’s grandiose opening. “Can’t Stay Mad,” as the kids say today, escalates quickly into a hip moving, multi-instrumental party. Plus, you know, I’d like to think she’s singing about me!
Heartless Bastards
What’s this? A non-Texas band? Yes! It’s true!
My son sent me the video, and it’s one of those times where the video is what reeled me into the rest of the band’s music. Here’s why with “How Low” from their latest, A Beautiful Life.
Rolling Stones
Of course, and it’s undeniable, the The Rolling Stones are a much better band than The Beatles ever were.

On July 10, 1965, the Stones hit the top of the US charts with their controversial song “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.” It was controversial, of course, because it might have been referencing sex! Anyway, here are the Stones singing it on the Ed Sullivan Show and it totally doesn’t at all look lip-synched. Not at all. Nope.
