The Detroit Lions have been a very consistent team all season. Their losses were sprinkled about and they never really lost much momentum along the way to their 12-5 finish. However, they will have to contend with a red hot Los Angeles Rams team that started the season 3-6 before tearing through the second half of the season winning seven of their last eight games. Their only loss being an overtime road defeat to the Baltimore Ravens. That’s a damn good run and I think I’ll be taking the hot team here in this game too.

My Prediction

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Lions are just three-point home favorites over the red hot Rams. In my prediction earlier this week, I wrote:

In probably one of the sneakier good matchups, the Rams were 3-6 at one point this season before turning into one of the hottest teams in the league. Their only loss down the stretch was an overtime road defeat to the number one seeded Baltimore Ravens. The Lions have a good enough offense to make this a game even against a team as hot as the Rams, but this has upset written all over it for me.

Prediction: Rams 30, Lions 28

There is always a chance for the home team to just run through their opponent in the playoffs, but if I had to pick one road team to win this weekend it would have been these Rams. We’ll just have to see how it goes!
