Welcome to the Terrible Towel Tales, where we’ll highlight some of the latest stories permeating Steelers media for your reading pleasure every Monday through Saturday. In today’s news…

Steelers star George Pickens returns home to host youth football camp at Hoover High | Julian Mitchell, WVTM

Kids from eight to 15-years-old came out and took part in football drills and games along with getting to meet Pickens.

A five-star recruit coming out of Hoover, it meant a lot for Pickens to be back and show kids from the same area as him that anything is possible.

“That means a lot to me because like you said, they look like me, they from where I’m from. So it’s kind of like I’m talking to myself. You see what I mean, that means a lot to me just to make kids dreams and, you know, give them a lane to where they could do anything. You see what I mean. So that’s kind of what the foundation is about, just for kids, you know, to find a way in life,” Pickens said.

Steelers Discussing Brandon Aiyuk Trade Package | Stephen Thompson, All Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers continue to hammer home their interest in trading for 49ers star Brandon Aiyuk, who could be the missing piece for an offense that needs playmakers in the passing game desperately.

According to a report from Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 The Fan, the Steelers have even laid out the details of a potentially lucrative trade package for Aiyuk and are simply waiting for the 49ers to reciprocate the interest.

Steelers 7-round mock draft: First-round trade-up to help solidify offensive line | Mark Kaboly, The Athletic

Round 1 (No. 17, from Jacksonville): JC Latham, OT, Alabama

(Steelers trade Nos. 20 and 98 overall to Jaguars for Nos. 17 and 212)

There are a handful of players the Steelers would consider moving up a couple of spots to draft. You would have to believe Latham is on that short list. If that’s the case, the Steelers would need to move ahead of Cincinnati at No. 18 to ensure that. With the Jaguars at No. 17 and in need of a cornerback and receiver, dropping back might be something they want.

The 6-foot-5, 340-pound Latham started 27 straight games (1,749 snaps) for the Crimson Tide at right tackle.
