The Titans are now down to 80 players, meeting the new deadline set by the NFL for the 2021 season. Each team had to be down to 80 players today, while they’ll have to be down to 53 by this time next week to start the regular season.
After waiving kicker Tucker McCann, tackle Paul Adams and tackle Ross Reynolds yesterday, the Titans waived cornerback Kevin Peterson today. The team also placed linebacker Nick Dzubnar and running back Jeremy McNichols on the COVID list.

Defensive lineman Anthony Rush was added to the COVID list on Monday, following Mike Vrabel’s announcement that he had tested positive for COVID-19. Ryan Tannehill said today that the Titans are upping their protocols a bit in hopes of keeping the virus contained within team headquarters.

Peterson, the lone roster cut of the day, was signed back in June following a minicamp tryout. The 27 year old veteran couldn’t find a home in the secondary, with the Titans holding much more depth in that department this season.
The Titans will host the Bears on Saturday night in Nashville for one final preseason matchup.
