It’s a big day for the Chicago Bears, who are in Southern California for Caleb Williams’ pro day.

Williams, the presumptive No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL draft, will work out for general managers, coaches and scouts for the first time during the pre-draft process. He was in attendance at the NFL Scouting Combine, but he didn’t participate in drills (although he did meet with select teams).

USC wide receiver Brenden Rice told Colin Cowherd that Williams will be throwing to him during pro day, so Williams will in fact be participating in some capacity.

According to ESPN’s Courtney Cronin, the Bears will have a large group in attendance to watch Williams, including general manager Ryan Poles, assistant GM Ian Cunningham, head coach Matt Eberflus, offensive coordinator Shane Waldron and quarterbacks coach Kerry Joseph.

USC’s pro day, headlined by Williams, will be broadcast on NFL+ beginning at 1:30 p.m. ET (and broadcast later on NFL Network at 8 p.m. ET).

There are plenty of reporters on the ground at USC, along with NFL Network’s broadcast, so we’ll be providing live updates throughout the event as Williams works out for scouts for the first time this pre-draft process.
