5 players were absent from Wednesday’s practice.
The New Orleans Saints are approaching the most important stretch of their season starting with an NFC matchup with the 8-3 Detroit Lions. With a 5-6 record, New Orleans still has playoff hopes as they’re in second place in the NFC South. But going into this stretch will be no easy task as New Orleans is the most injured they’ve been all season.
Wide receiver Chris Olave was limited on Wednesday while in concussion protocol while wide receiver Rashid Shaheed did not participate with a thigh injury. Defensive end Cameron Jordan and linebacker Pete Werner were also absent with injuries.
Lions running back David Montgomery was limited on Wednesday with a foot injury. Former Saints linebacker Alex Anzalone was the lone player absent from practice for Detroit.
