Former Falcons QB Matt Ryan announces retirement from NFL

Former Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan officially retired from the NFL on Monday afternoon, 16 years after being selected by Atlanta with the third overall pick in the 2008 draft. Ryan played 14 seasons with the Falcons, leading the team to a Super Bowl berth and winning league MVP in 2016 before eventually getting traded to the Indianapolis Colts in 2022.
