The Tennessee Titans continue to do their due diligence at the wide receiver position ahead of the 2024 NFL draft, with the team recently having a virtual meeting with North Carolina wideout, Devontez Walker.

The news comes from Justin Melo of The Draft Network, who notes that Walker has also had virtual meetings with the Green Bay Packers, Las Vegas Raiders, Cincinnati Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars.

In addition, Walker has had or will have in-person/30 visits with the New York Jets, Carolina Panthers, Buffalo Bills and Jaguars.

Here’s more on Walker, per Lance Zierlein of NFL.com:

All-day vertical target with long, linear frame and impressive build-up speed to win the footrace. Walker is a tale of two receivers. He’s a long strider who will excel running go routes, posts, corners and over routes. When he’s allowed to maintain play speed and keep his feet moving, he’s fine. When he’s asked to get in and out of breaks or make tighter turns, his lack of short-area footwork and route acumen make him substantially easier to cover. Walker showed drastic improvement making the combat catch, but the jury is still out on whether he’s physical enough to do it as a pro. He’s a Day 2 field-stretcher for West Coast offenses looking to create explosive opportunities in the passing game.

Despite making a big addition in free agency with the signing of Calvin Ridley, the Titans could use more depth at the position and a potential long-term starter with DeAndre Hopkins in the final year of his contract.

Walker would be a great fit for Tennessee, as the 6-foot-1, 193-pound speedster is the kind of deep threat the offense needs. He figures to be a Day 2 pick, of which the Titans only have one (second round).
