The Tennessee Titans made their second addition to the offensive line in free agency on Tuesday night, with the team agreeing to terms with former Washington Commanders offensive lineman, Saahdiq Charles.

The former fourth-round pick is getting a one-year deal worth up to $2.5 million, which immediately screams depth signing.

Charles has been a backup for the majority of his career but started in a career-high 10 games in 2023, when he gave up four sacks and 37 pressures in 643 snaps at left guard. He posted Pro Football Focus grades of 53.9 and 55.4 in pass-blocking and run-blocking, respectively.

The LSU product has played snaps at every spot upfront during his career, with the exception of center, but the vast majority of his playing time has come at left and right guard. I would be surprised if he supplants anyone currently on the Titans’ roster at right guard.

Here’s how Twitter reacted to the move.
